Systemic approach

Unlike Piaget, Vygotsky emphasizes the social context and emphasizes the effects of social interaction. In the process described here, attention is focused on the social dimension at stake in the exchanges conference, in the development of knowledge about the labor market and its evolutions. It is about the construction of knowledge (the one that brings solutions), but with the others.

From 2012 onwards, I will be organizing exchanges meetings on research practices with people looking for a job. For me, this is a new way of accompanying me, since a little more than twenty Years, I mainly accompanied by individual interviews and the animation of groups of job seekers.

Gradually I realized, during the conferences, that I learned more and that I had learned much more in the last two years than during the previous twenty years. That seemed surprising to me. I learned about the labor market and how it evolved, and I discovered during our meetings that an expertise belonging to the group was constituted and particularly relevant to guide, facilitate the resumption of employment and even the creation Companies.

The ideas are confronted, there is a concrete apprehension of the difficulties of the job search, which are discussed and shared, a global vision, a common analysis occurs, there is an end, to be better informed to find a job , There are exchanges, discussions, interactions, agreements and disagreements, feedback. There is an awareness of the complexity of the labor market today.

I wanted to make known this approach to the resolution of problems of access to employment and I carried out a validation of experience gained in 2015. I discovered in the course of my readings the authors and researchers of the University of Tours, I discovered that this approach had a systemic name, approach or analysis.

The systemic approach is a method more oriented by the present-future (what is called prospective) than by the past-present (determinism which is a way of seeking the cause). It is more relational and global than analytical. More open to the diversity of realities and the plurality of solutions than to the quest for "universal" certainties and answers, it is capable of providing keys for understanding. It is our way of entering into the complexity of the world around us, focusing more on the goal to be attained (the goal of resuming employment) than on the search for causes (causality such as working to improve one's CV Or its maintenance techniques). It is about coordinating group perspectives and co-constructing hypotheses to arrive at a common answer.

We find in this approach an idea of constructive collaboration that results from the association of knowledge with each other.

Hence this idea of organizing exchange conferences in particular but not exclusively with seniors in search of employment. Over the last ten years, seniors have come to increase, with worrying constancy, the numbers of job seekers and their number. This evolution stems directly from the evolution of the economic and industrial fabric of France which has changed considerably. The crisis which for 30 years has seen multiplying the relocations and the appearance of Internet has profoundly modified the society. The majority of the national production is now carried out by the TPI, SME and PMI, the remuneration capacities are not the same as those proposed by the big companies. The problematic of managing their professional paths leads to imagine and conceptualize a new way of approaching the relationship of work by means of an accompaniment whose operationality implies taking into account these new data.

To the difficulties of orientation of the young people is therefore added the difficulties of reorientation of the seniors that I accompany during twenty years. The accompaniments which I propose lead me to distinguish them into two categories. The younger children are in the roughly 50-55 age bracket, they generally favor the return to paid employment, those in the 55-65 age group are more likely to have to create their jobs, By the creation of a new company or by the takeover of an existing company. Sometimes it is the choice to exercise a self-employed activity that is a premium, a consultant or a trainer on their own. To these two types corresponds two types of support, which I set up at the Pôle Emploi de Tours: the Dynamic Emploi action developed a few years ago, which is mainly aimed at the search for salaried employment, then the Conference Two years later, the Employment Prospective Commission, a group of job seekers and a monthly cycle of relocated conferences outside of Pôle Emploi. A way to open ourselves to our environment to learn and decide.
